How it all started...
The Rock Church launched as Orchardville Church Centralia Branch, a branch church of Orchardville Church, with Pastor Mark Shell as the lead pastor. The first service was held on Easter Sunday, 2008. The initial sanctuary seated approximately 250, and was full to overflowing on that first Sunday, resulting in the need for a second service. Within the first year and a half the buildings for the sanctuary and kid’s area were doubled in size, as the Lord continued to bless. During that time, due to the need for a full time, on-site pastor, Steve Upchurch became the Campus Pastor.
On March 27, 2015 Pastor Mark Shell went home to be with the Lord, and one of his final requests, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, was for the Centralia Branch and Fairfield Branch churches to become independent churches.
On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 the Centralia Church became The Rock Church, with Steve Upchurch as the Lead Pastor.

Expanding the vision...
Due to the need for additional class rooms, a sanctuary for teenagers, a larger kitchen & dining room and a gymnasium, a decision was made to build The Family Life Center building.
Construction started in the fall of 2016, and was completed in the fall of 2017.

Where we are headed...
Jesus was very clear about His vision for the church. “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men!”
The vision of The Rock Church is to reach men, women, boys and girls with the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ, and disciple them into becoming “fishers of men”.
